Regular school attendance is essential for your child’s academic success and overall development. Every day a student is present provides valuable opportunities to learn, engage with peers, and build important skills that cannot be fully replicated at home.
We understand that sometimes absences are unavoidable due to illness or family emergencies. However, we encourage you to make school attendance a top priority. Arriving on time and attending each day helps your child build responsibility, consistency, and a strong foundation for future success.
If your child must miss school, please notify the school office promptly and provide a valid reason for the absence. Together, we can ensure that every student has the best chance to succeed.
Richmond Public Schools is transitioning from Remind to ParentSquare as our new communication platform. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian, using their preferred email address and phone number. All families are encouraged to access their accounts, update their preferences on when and how they are notified, and download the mobile app.
